Case Presentation: Acute esophageal necrosis (AEN) is a rare condition which presents as acute-onset gastrointestinal bleeding. AEN is associated with vasculitis, coronary artery disease, malignancy, and other conditions which impair maintenance of the esophageal protective barrier.
